The idea is simple.
Dark lines distract, Whitelines® don’t.
Whitelines® is the new generation of writing paper. The concept is patented and yet very simple: Since markings from pens are dark they interfere with the traditional dark lines of ordinary paper. On Whitelines there is no visual interference between the lines and the pen colour. Whitelines makes your writing and drawings stand out.
SPACE FOR YOUR IDEAS
You entered this world as a creative genius. Let it remain that way. If everyone could free just 1% of their creativity this would be a better world.
YOU GET THE SUPPORT
Lines on paper support structure for your ideas. White lines support without distracting and makes your writing and drawings stand out.
EASY ON THE EYE
The background is tinted in a light grey tone which makes it less tiring for the eye than using a white paper. It’s even tested.
DARK LINES DISTRACT
Dark supporting lines have the same contrast as the pen you write with and that creates a conflict in your brain. Take away the conflict and you’ve helped your brain by eliminating unnecessary distractions.
THE LINES DISAPPEAR
When you copy, scan or fax the white lines will easily disappear. Use our perspective paper and you can make amazing drawings without showing the support.
SEARCHABLE HANDWRITING WHEN SCANNED
Like the brain, OCR readers have difficulties separating your handwritten notes from the supporting dark lines. Use Whitelines for a better result when searching in your notes, for example when uploaded in Evernote. See how!
Study on Whitelines® paper
We were proud when two students on the optometry programme at Karolinska Institutet chose to make their exampaper on the case of Whitelines paper. The name of their work is: Evaluation of reading eye movements and comfort on different paper design.
The results of this study suggest a higher comfort and a higher read rate applicable to Whitelines ® paper. The study shows that Whitelines® paper is to be preferred.
Whitelines® Lab is a place and a sweet spot in our agendas where we are challenging ourselves to come up with new ideas in order to help support creativity around the world.
